CablePrice to raise the bar for FUSO South Island service
From 1 April 2020, CablePrice (NZ) Ltd will represent the brand in Christchurch, Greymouth, Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill, replacing the recently sold Prestige Commercial Vehicles.
“We are pleased to have CablePrice on board,” said Fuso New Zealand CEO Kurtis Andrews. “Especially in difficult times, their experience and expertise will provide a clarity of direction and an essential focus on both Fuso customers and the brand in the South Island.”
CablePrice’s FUSO sales, parts and service operations will be run out of its existing dealerships in Christchurch, Greymouth and Invercargill. In Timaru and Dunedin, dealership developments have been slowed with the advent of Covid-19 and these areas will be serviced by mobile technicians over the short term.
“Despite the challenges we’re all currently facing, we are ready to support essential services and all other FUSO vehicles once they are allowed out,” said Aidan Mahony, CablePrice New Zealand General Manager – Sales.
“The team has been busy behind the scenes, working to ensure that our parts stock is in place for day one, we have brought on board experienced FUSO technicians, as well as parts and sales personnel, and our vehicle stock is healthy”.
Fuso New Zealand is cautiously confident the transport and construction sectors will be central to the economic rebuild that will take place in the following 12-18 months.
“Once we move beyond Covid-19 restrictions, we anticipate a resurgence in transport activity,” said Andrews. “Ships are still bringing containers, our exporters will be desperate to get goods to international markets, and the government has promised large investment in infrastructure construction.
“Our South Island customers can now expect a high standard of customer service as they work through the growing backlogs and into the future.”
Existing South Island Fuso NZ parts and service dealers, Truck Specialists Nelson and Torque Automotive, based in Queenstown, will continue to service the Nelson-Marlborough and Central Otago regions respectively.
