Fuso NZ launches three new Enduro trucks

Fuso New Zealand has boosted its recently launched Enduro range with the addition of three new ready-for-work trucks – a 6x4 and 8x4 tipper, and a 6x2 curtainsider.

The bodies are being built and fitted in New Zealand, with all three now in monthly production.

The 8x4 FO3128 and 6x4 FJ2528 models are being fitted with Cambridge Welding Services (CWS) 6m and 5m tipper bodies respectively, while the 6x2 FJ2528 will be available with a Tradesmen Motor Bodies curtainsider with capacity for up to 16 pallets.

Fuso NZ managing director Kurtis Andrews said the range now covers more bases for operators looking for reliable, no-nonsense trucks at a lower price point.

“New Zealand has a well-established market for this size of tip truck and curtainsider, so we are confident they’ll prove popular.

“We also know that a number of customers just want a truck on the job without delay. Enduro is already an easy truck for operators to get into, based on price and value alone; these new ready-for-work options will be even more compelling.”

Andrews described the partnerships with CWS and Tradesmen Motor Bodies (TMB) as “a natural fit” based on a shared reputation for good quality at an affordable price.

The CWS steel tipper bodies are tough and durable; like the Enduro range – built to go the distance.

TMB’s 8.5-metre 6x2 FJ2528 curtainsider features an alloy roof panel, white flexi-sider curtains, full-length certified side tie-rails, Transtex ply floor and a two-tonne tail-lift with 2.5-metre alloy platform.

Solid foundations

The FO3128 and both FJ2528 units are built around a proven Mercedes-Benz Axor drivetrain and chassis with high-torque 1,120Nm 6.4-litre engines and nine-speed synchromesh transmissions.

The FO3128 tares at 12,000kg and has a payload of 14,000kg, allowing operators to take full of advantage of the RUC benefits that come from running four axles.

The 6x4 FJ2528 has a maximum payload of 10,900kg, with the option of a 6,600kg front axle fitted with super singles.

Both tippers feature six-rod rear suspension with cross-locks to improve off-road traction, as well as full air brakes, ABS, central locking, radio with USB and auxiliary inputs, and a spring-park brake on the rear axle – standard across the range.

The 6x2 FJ2528 features semi-elliptic springs with offset load share and diff lock.

All models are backed by a 36 -month / 200,000km manufacturer's warranty with 15,000km service intervals.
