Mitsubishi FUSO establishes Chief Transformation Officer

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has established the position of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) to accelerate eMobility and sustainability solutions in a clear signal of intent to achieve its goal of electrifying its entire range by 2039.

Key responsibilities for the CTO will focus on four areas:

Scaling the business based on overall market volume as MFTBC works towards introducing eCanter 2.1.
Providing comprehensive solutions with adjacent offerings to customers, including base vehicles, co-design and operational integrations.
Creating additional value beyond total cost of ownership. Scope includes data enabled business models, telematics, fleet management, charging infrastructure, finance and leasing programs.
Developing business partnerships in Japan and globally across a wide variety of areas and eMobility ecosystem and infrastructure.

MTBFC’s stated goal is to electrify its entire range by 2039 and has already introduced the FUSO eCanter, the world’s first series-produced all-electric light duty truck, which landed in New Zealand mid-2021.
