FUSO eCanter is an exciting product at the leading edge of electric transport solutions. It is the world’s first series-manufactured electric light truck, the result of almost a decade of development with more than 4.5 million kilometres of real-world evaluation.
Fuso New Zealand has had an unwavering focus on securing early supply for our market and as such we now have a limited number of the first units manufactured for global distribution.
Range finder
eCanter has an operational range of 100 - 150km* on a single charge, it is virtually silent and ideally suited to inner city delivery runs or shorter distance operations. It is available with a maximum GVM of 7.5T with a derated 6T option also available.
Recharging eCanter to 80% range from a 50kW DC charge station will take around 45 minutes and 80 minutes to 100%. It can also be charged overnight using off-peak power.
Like any new technology, the cost of these initial units compared with a conventional internal combustion equivalent is significantly greater. This premium will reduce over the coming years, as production efficiencies are found, the manufacturing cost of batteries is reduced, and research and development costs are recovered.

FUSO eCanter can now be found in many industries, from transport to civil contracting works. With over 30 eCanters now in the country, it is a truck for many applications.
